Forged in a share house home-studio somewhere in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs over two years of lockdown, Playlunch is the brainchild and passion project of Liam Bell. Creating a cocktail of late 90s and early 2000s Aussie nostalgia, and taking inspiration from retro dance music icons, Playlunch is pioneering a new flavour of bangers altogether: ‘Bogan Funk’.

Since their debut in April 2022, Playlunch have exploded at a rapid rate across both the Melbourne music scene and now also Nationally (and internationally!) in 2024. Releasing their debut album in November 2023 titled "Who's Ready For A Good Time?", Playlunch have soared to new heights with viral Tik Tok videos, High Rotation Triple J play & massive Sell Out shows across the country (including a 550 person attended launch show at Fitzroy's iconic, The Night Cat). Putting a huge focus on touring and bringing their comedic, yet serious live show to the people, the band have Sold Out headline shows in 200-550 CAP rooms across Victoria, Queensland, NSW & Western Australia (amongst as many crazy festival slots as possible).
